ABOUT

I'm Thomas DeGarmeaux, founder and certified Life Coach at Grace For Addictions where we’re dedicated to helping individuals break free from addiction and embrace a fulfilling life in recovery.

My journey into life coaching is deeply personal, rooted in my own struggles with mental health and addiction, and the process of turning my life around after incarceration. Like many of you, I have faced the darkness of addiction and the challenges of mental health issues. For years, I was trapped in a cycle that seemed impossible to break.

However, with determination, support, and the right tools, I found a way out. My path to recovery was not easy, but it was profoundly enlightening and transformative. It was through this journey that I discovered my passion for helping others overcome similar struggles.

Grace For Addictions was born from a deeply personal journey of overcoming significant challenges related to substance use and mental health. Having experienced the isolation and despair that often accompany these struggles, I was inspired to create a grassroots organization offering a beacon of hope to those at rock bottom. The tragic loss of my best friend to the opioid epidemic, coupled with the lack of accessible support systems, strengthened my resolve to build a mission-driven organization, one dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health, removing barriers to community support, and helping prevent relapse, homelessness, and overdose.

Officially a 501(c)(3) non-profit since August 2024, Grace For Addictions has quickly grown, demonstrating a significant need for free services like this. Their dedicated team of volunteer coaches and facilitators, each with professional coaching or counseling backgrounds, provide pro bono support to individuals and families across the United States.
