With over three decades dedicated to community outreach and spiritual recovery and growth, Kel’s journey has been shaped by an unwavering commitment to empowering and equipping individuals facing life's challenges—including crisis intervention, navigating and mitigating mental health crises, a collaborative approach facilitating a safe space for healing and growth.
The ethos of Kel’s work reflects a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of compassionate support. Leveraging skills in strategic outreach and financial stewardship, community networking has bolstered the resilience of those in dire straits. It's more than a profession; it's a mission to accompany others towards a path of recovery and mutual upliftment.
Kel has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Concordia University—Portland OR and Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Formation from Concordia Seminary—St. Louis MO, where he also studied Community Outreach Leadership of the Doctor of Ministry curricula.
Highlights of his community outreach include formation of early childhood centers, a disaster response/community organizing non-profit, 41 baptisms—8 adults and 33 children—on one day, and life coaching in bars. He currently serves with the Florida Department of Environmental Services at various state parks.
